Dr Jim Watts has been instrumental in the advancement of the Glenwood Flock. His knowledge, foresight and integrity are unsurpassed in the merino industry. SRS® Merino sheep are the result of selecting for low primary fibre diameter and high density and length of wool fibres. This breeding system was developed by Dr Watts, who is a research veterinarian specialising in skin and fleece biology.

Mark Gardner has worked with Glenwood management for over 12 years. He has been  instrumental in the changes made to all aspects of the operation and a great mentor to Norm and Pip. Mark meets with Pip and Norm about every six months reviewing and keeping on track the people, the business and the land management. He has set up monitoring procedures including “On Track Paddock Indicators”  to ensure they are moving toward their goals.

Mark is a dedicated and talented Holistic Management educator, agricultural consultant and trained business coach. He works with businesses to achieve outcomes on the business, land and people aspects of the business.

e-wool

Peter Vandeleur of e-wool is endeavouring to change the way wool is marketed in Australia. Glenwood is working with e-wool to get away from the traditional  commodity mentality and promote the quality, ethical and sustainable attributes of this unique fibre. Peter’s dedication to marketing and to our product is enormous. He has successfully created markets for unmulesed merino throughout the world.

Instyle

Instyle is an ethical and environmentally responsible interior textiles company based in Sydney.  Michael Fitzsimmons and his staff visited Glenwood and other SRS® farms 2008 and subsequently signed the first-ever ethical supply agreement with the SRS® Company to market products under the EthEco™ brand.

Sheep Genetics Australia

Sheep Genetics Australia is changing the way we breed merinos. MERINOSELECT provides practical information for Merino breeders and wool growers on the genetic potential of their sheep. Sheep are ranked for various production characteristics, by Australian Sheep Breeding Values (ASBVs). ASBVs allow you to select the most appropriate animals that match your breeding objectives across a comprehensive range of commercial production and quality traits. ASBVs also assist breeders and producers in making comparisons between animals.

Peter Milling

Peter Milling and Company are a local stock and station agent who through Bruce Bryant run the Annual Glenwood Ram Sale and sell the surplus Glenwood livestock. Bruce and the other agents at Peter Milling provide the skills, integrity and knowledge for the livestock industry providing the expertise to achieve the best results.

North West Finance

Owned by James Smith North West finance has a growing reputation in the north of NSW and as far north as Rockhampton as agricultural consultants. They also are mortgage brokers for all types of finance and now offer a financial advisory role to manage all aspects of a farmers business.
