Flock History:

The Smith family has been breeding merinos at Glenwood since 1898.
In 1929 Mr. Norman Smith purchased 2 rams and 297 ewes from Bundemar to establish Glenwood Merino Stud. The stud made a name for itself, by producing soft stylish and bulky medium wool sheep selling rams locally and onto the tablelands.

Until the 1990's Peppin genetics were primarily used.
In 1996 Wallaloo Park genetics were introduced.
From results obtained from this cross the stud joined the SRS ® Company in 1998 and John Carter and Trevor Nicholson became the consultant and classer respectively. In 2002 we became a registered SRS® stud.
